How do I send you my device for repair?

It’s easy! Simply fill out our forms on our website and we will contact you directly with next steps to get your gear fixed.

Do I need to provide my own packaging materials?

Yes, you will have to pack your gear to send to us. Customers are required to package their own gear before dropping it off at a Canada Post facility/drop-off point and are responsible for packaging the item safely and securely for shipment. We can attest that we have shipped thousands of pieces of gear in the past and have had great success. We will also include tips on how to package your gear to ensure it is safe for the journey.

Can I bring my device directly to you?

We will email you a Canada Post shipping label so you can ship your item to us. However we are working on more direct drop-off points without shipping via Canada Post, but these are not immediately available at this time.

Can I get a cost estimate for repairs?

We will provide a cost estimate once a technician diagnoses the issue upon review. Photo and video gear are very precise, intricate pieces of equipment and there could be other issues that we can’t easily determine, especially in cases of drop/accident damages. Until we fully examine your gear there is no way for us to tell what has failed and what needs to be done to fix the problem. Any estimate we could provide before we see the item could be highly inaccurate as every repair can be different.

How do I know I can trust you to repair my gear?

Well, PrizmCare is owned by Henry’s Camera, the largest independent digital imaging retailer in Canada with locations across the country. While PrizmCare operates as a separate company, our relationship with Henry’s allows us to solidify partnerships with all the same gear manufacturers and service centers as Henry’s, which has successfully repaired and replaced tens of thousands of devices for clients. How long does the repair process take?

We aim to have your product repaired as fast as possible, with the average time being about two weeks after we receive it; however, this may be different depending on the issue, product, and the availability of parts. We work with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and their timelines can vary at times. So our ballpark estimate is about two weeks to repair, but we cannot guarantee this.

Where do I drop off my device?

Since you will be shipping the device to us, once you have received your shipping label from the PrizmCare team via email and put it on the outside of your package (making sure it is visible – clear packing tape works well here), you may bring it to any Canada Post shipping location to have your item shipped. To make shipping even easier in the future, we also are working on creating more drop-off points and ways to submit devices for repairs; we will announce these shortly.
